From April 19 to 22, ASE Optics Europe participated in the VII Meeting RIA – TEC2SPACE: Astronomical Instrumentation in Spain, a conference that aims to promote opportunities for collaboration between companies and organizations for the development of new technologies for space applications.

During these days, we were able to exchange ideas and impressions about future developments in astronomical instrumentation, and we learned about the activity being carried out by the many scientific and technological research centers in Spain such as the Center for Astrobiology (CAB-CSIC), CIEMAT, INTA, the Institute of Astrophysics of Andalusia

In addition, it was an opportunity to meet in person with the group from the Space department of IACTEC (IAC), with whom we are working for the development of a SWIR (infrared) lens, in the framework of the second phase of the ALISIO 1 project, which will take the latest version of the DRAGO camera into space.
