Spie optical system design conference

Last week, two of our ASE Optics Europe team members returned from the SPIE Optical Systems Design conference in Strasbourg.

CTO Marta de la Fuente gave a presentation entitled “Compact high-resolution LWIR optical system for the MORERA mission: final configuration” about the Cubesat-compatible camera that will be used to provide high-resolution farm images,  providing personalized irrigation recommendations directly to final users using a mobile device.

Optical engineer Lorenzo Calvano gave the presentation “Comparison of tolerancing simulations and as-built optical performance in a precision optical system” with results of a study by ASE Optics on increasing the accuracy of its optical design simulations.
