ASE Optics attended the on-line conference SpaceTech: Challenges and opportunities as seen by Jaume Sanpera from Sateliot and Xavier Lobao from the European Space Agency held on September 7th. This event was organized by ACCIÓ (agency for business competitiveness of the Generalitat de Catalunya) and Tech Barcelona. The objectives of the event were to reflect on the past of space technologies, to present the future of this field and to identify the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. In this event, we also talked about the applications of space technologies in other fields and sectors as we have already done from ASE Optics, being part of the consortium of the MORERA project as a technology partner, within the call “Missions, science and innovation” of the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI). In addition, we have also collaborated with the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) and IACtec – Espacio for the design and integration of the DRAGO-2 infrared camera, which will be launched on board a microsatellite at the end of 2022. Here you will find more information about the MORERA Project and DRAGO-2.
