“ASE Optics is a group of highly skilled individuals working at the cutting edge of optical engineering in a highly supportive environment for each other.”

I am an experimental physicist with an academic background in quantum optics and laser science. After a Master’s degree in Optics and Photonics, I obtained a PhD using ultrashort laser pulses to study the properties of atomic and molecular systems. I have participated in projects such as: ITER or MINUV, as well as in the development and design of other customized optical systems. What is your role at ASE Optics? I am an engineer in the Optics Department and I perform RD laboratory work, as well as assembly and characterization of optical systems. In addition, I perform system analysis and design tasks, especially when these systems are customized and allow us to expand our serial manufacturing capabilities. What encouraged you to work at ASE Optics? I was excited by the wide range and innovation of the projects that ASE Optics is involved in. In addition to what my job entails, which is taking a project from concept and design to reality. What do you value most about working at ASE Optics? I love the team we have created. We all know each other well. We are a team that brings together people with different backgrounds, but complementary and necessary, as we develop unique projects and systems that require a multidisciplinary approach. And what has been one of the biggest challenges you have faced? Actually, each project in itself represents a unique challenge and a learning opportunity in the search for innovative solutions. They are the culmination of a fascinating process that is never the same as the previous one. You can continue to meet Paloma and other members of our team here.
