EPIC Meeting on Photonics for Space: Opening New Horizons at Exail

Marta de la Fuente, CTO at ASE Optics, participates as a speaker within the Sustainable Agriculture (IAS-CSIC) and the University of Valencia (UV). EPIC Meeting on Photonics for Space: Opening New Horizons at Exail, with a presentation entitled: “MORERA: Earth-Observation and AI Technology Available to Every Farmer. Industralization Challenges”The project will focus on current challenges and future trends in the design and development of LWIR optical systems for Earth observation applications. The MORERA project will develop a personalized irrigation recommendation system for each plot based on satellite images and Artificial Intelligence, as well as a new generation of miniaturized and compact remote sensing instruments to respond quickly to the needs of users. MORERA responds to one of the challenges of the call “Science and Innovation Missions” with which the Center for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) seeks solutions to problems with high impact on society through innovative technologies. The MORERA consortium is formed by the partners LIDAX, TEPRO, ASE OPTICS and Thales Alenia Space, as its leader. Each industrial partner is accompanied by a leading national and European Public Research Organization (PRO) such as the National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA), the Institute for Sustainable Agriculture (IAS-CSIC) and the University of Valencia (UV).
