ASE to Showcase Dimensional Metrology Expertise at SOFT 2024
We’re excited to announce that Thomas Siegel, a member of our talented team at ASE, will be presenting a poster at the upcoming Symposium on Fusion Technology (SOFT) in 2024. This international event will be held in Dublin City University, Ireland from 22 to 27 September 2024 at the National Centre for Plasma, Science and Technology.
The poster presentation, titled “Dimensional metrology measurements of targets relevant to the geometry of the IFMIF-DONES lithium target,” will delve into our expertise in precision measurements and their critical role in supporting the development of fusion energy technologies. We will present the design and laboratory performance of the optical metrology system, including characterisation measurements of solid targets of geometry and reflectivity representative of the flowing liquid lithium. Our work aims to support the advancement of fusion technologies by providing accurate and reliable dimensional measurements for key components.
The biennial symposium on fusion technology is the most important conference in this field in Europe, bringing together scientists, engineers, industry representatives and exhibitors from all over the world and we are proud to be a part of it. We look forward to sharing our insights and contributing to the ongoing advancements in this exciting field.
Stay tuned for more updates on our participation at SOFT 2024!
