ASE Optics Speeds Path to Manufacturing With Addition of Keith Thorp

Rochester, NY (November 8, 2012) – –Keith Thorp, Production Coordinator/Lead Technician joins ASE Optics to help companies get new products to market faster by coordinating the move from prototype to production. Keith will expand the contract engineering company's ability to produce opto-mechanical system assemblies for companies in biomedical, commercial, scientific and defense industries.

ASE General Manager Christopher Cotton notes: "Keith has quickly brought value to our customers by helping identify the best path forward for projects moving into production. For a recent project, he helped to figure out the tooling and assembly methods for an initial small run, with a higher volume demand before year-end. The Production Coordinator/Technical Lead is an important role and skillset that our customers often don't have in house. "

Keith Thorp adds, "ASE offers me the chance to contribute and directly build things for customers. The culture here is supportive and customer-oriented."

Rochester Precision Optics celebrates $10.7M expansion

ASE Optics Introduces Expedited Discovery Service, Cuts Time to Production

Rochester, NY (February 15, 2012) – ASE Optics, an optical engineering services firm, launches an expedited Discovery Service this month to meet the needs of technology companies whose product development schedules are off-track. Like ASE's Discovery Service, the Expedited Service offers 20 hours of fixed price engineering services to assess an optical system design, performance, or manufacturing problem. Rochester, NY (November 18, 2011) – ASE Optics, an optical engineering services firm, has improved lens system performance by 400 percent for a technology customer.
