At ASE, we approach problems through a three-step process:

1. Understanding
   1. Fully understand the problem.
   2. Understand how the problem has been solved previously.
2. Brainstorming
   1. Develop at least three options.
   2. Compare advantages/disadvantages of each solution.
   3. Do not eliminate a solution unless the decision is clear.
3. Implementation
   1. Choose a final solution to move forward.
   2. Maintain and be prepared to fall back on an alternate option at any time.
   3. Analyze, measure and test at every opportunity.
